There will be Wars and rumors of Wars...
and there will be Famines and Earthquakes

Mathew 24: 6-8 {Revised Standard Version}

6"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places: 8 all this is but the beginning of the sufferings.”

I know that many of these things have taken place in the past. You would be hard pressed to find a time throughout history that there wasn't wars and rumors of wars. Famines? I need someone to chime in on this. There are parts of the US going through some severe droughts but we aren't suffering from any famine. Is the US immune from famine? Are all industrial nations immune from famine? I know there have been numerous famines throughout the ages and some not so long ago. There have been many famines just within the past century. But within the last 30 years or so almost all famines have been in third world countries and many of those due to severe drought wars or revolutions. According to Wikipedia, there have been 3 famines in this century alone and we are barely 14 years into it. One caused by war and 2 caused by drought. According to, poverty is the principle cause of hunger and harmful economic systems are the principal cause of poverty and hunger. And what is more harmful to economic systems than war and drought?

I live in Oklahoma where once upon a time earthquakes were pretty much unheard of... at least earthquakes of any size or frequency. But here lately more, and more powerful earthquakes have been happening with an alarming frequency. There are all kinds of different explanations as to why this is happening but in my opinion it is due to “fracking” or hydraulic fractal drilling. This is where they use powerful hydraulic pressure to fracture the shale under the earth so that natural gas can be more easily harvested by the oil and gas industry. The earth's crust may be quite thick, but I believe it is much more fragile than most people would expect. After all, a well placed blow with a sledge hammer can split a huge boulder.

This is the 2.5+ magnitude earthquakes just for today on the USGS website!

Take the egg for example. Its shell can withstand a huge amount of pressure if applied to its entire shell, but apply the pressure to a single point and what happens? You crack the egg. We are living on an egg shell. And due to gravity and the volatile molten rock beneath the earth's crust it is under a tremendous amount of pressure. If you weaken the earth's crust in the right place at the right time in just the right way... who is to say what might happen? One thing is for sure as far as I am concerned, fracking to extract natural gas from under the earth can lead to more frequent and more powerful earthquakes. Anyone who doesn't believe this or who believes the so called independent experts who have said it is due to natural causes doesn't live around fracking or is extremely gullible.

I have only touched on a few of the portents mentioned in the Bible which foretell of some nasty events to transpire. Whether you believe or not makes no difference to whether these events will occur or not. It only makes a difference to the destination of your life force when the end does come whether it be your end or the end times. If we do witness the tribulation in our lifetime wouldn't it be much better to be prepared? I will leave you to ponder that for a while.

Of course I need to add that this is all my own opinion and speculation for the most part just so some big oil industry or someone else doesn't come along and try to sue me for slander or some such. I have half a mind to eliminate this clause just so they would and it would bring more attention to this issue. But these things, the earthquakes and such not the fracking, have been foretold now haven't they? I welcome your comments and opinions as always.
