Separation of Church and State Round 2

Let's approach this next topic in three phases because it's way to complicated to dive right in and lump everything together all at once. First we will address the Church's view of homosexuality and the role the Church has played in the lives of these individuals in biblical times. Secondly we shall touch on the issue of the separation of Church and State. Finally, I will put it all together and share my views of one particular issue regarding the interference of the Church by the State and some possible implications thereof.
Homosexuality is nothing new. It occurs back in time further than I care to imagine. There is more than one mention of it in the Bible. In fact the Bible is where we get the word referring to anal and oral sex, sodomy and the individuals committing these and other perverted sexual acts, sodomites. The word sodomy was derived from Sodom, one of the two cities God had destroyed because he had deemed the inhabitants to have been perverted far beyond redemption. If you don't recall the story, maybe you should revisit or visit it if you have never done so the Book of Genesis. To make a long story short, people were having sex in all manners including men with men, women with women and group orgies throughout the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah... not too terribly different from the way things are today, only it was done more openly like in public places and in the streets. Therefore, God caused fire and brimstone to rain down upon the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying them both.
So this is what is used to define the Church's stance on homosexuality and other perverted sexual acts. These acts are spelled out in Leviticus. Specifically regarding homosexual men (Which of course silently implies gay women as well.) in Leviticus 18:22 for our purposes “Thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination!” Even if you don't believe in the Bible, it is the greatest piece of literature known to man and the best ethical and moral guide in the world. It is also where most of our laws have been derived from. Back in the days of Moses people were stoned to death for breaking these laws. Sexual perversion is such a strong force, I can understand how and why it perpetuates and grows. This is exactly why people are suppose to inure themselves in the Word of God. The Word of God protects people from these perverted carnal desires. There is so much to homosexuality that I will not delve too deeply into it here but will devote a post solely to it. Suffice it to say that homosexuality is NOT OK in the eyes of God and therefore should NEVER be accepted by the Church. Nor should the Church be Forced to accept it, which is the main point of this post.
But for now, let's discuss the issue of separation of Church and State. Back when this law was implemented, it was deemed necessary due to the Church's strength and influence in regards to the government and it effecting the policies of such. And there were many who disagreed with the Church's views and therefore pushed to have this law enacted. It was probably a good thing to have done this because ANY entity that grows to strong can become corrupt. As they say, absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is another issue which I will need to devote to it's own post, in fact more than likely several posts. I have already touched on this in a previous post. So I shall leave this alone for now and jump right to my point.
To an extent, I agree with the separation of Church and State. But that should also be a two way street. The government should not be able to dictate how a legitimate church worships, their beliefs or traditions. There is absolutely no way on God's green earth the government should be allowed to FORCE churches to perform GAY marriages. To do so is sacrilegious to a fault. I don't care if gays get married at the courthouse, but don't try to force the Church to give them a formal ceremonial wedding. That goes against everything that's Holy. Once again refer to Leviticus 18:22. If I were a preacher or pastor or whatever type of church leader they would have to prosecute me before I would EVER perform a gay marriage. This is why I elaborated on the Church's view on homosexuality at the beginning of this post. I have already heard one pastor/preacher declare that he would perform gay marriages. HOW CAN HE DO SUCH A THING knowing what the Bible says regarding the gay lifestyle? I was completely blown away when I heard him say that! This is where pastors, preachers, ministers, churches, Christians and anyone who believes in God and the good book need to discover a spine and STAND UP AND BE COUNTED! This is an issue that I and quite passionate about and will definitely be revisiting at a later date.
I know I said I would be posting a current even mind bender last evening, but as I started writing it, I soon realized I wanted to delve a little deeper than I had originally planned. I'm hoping to have it published by tonight.

Separation of Church and State Round 1

And now off we go to the races!

I live in central Oklahoma and there is a serious yet stupid controversy centered around the issue of separation of Church and State that has found its way onto the national news scene. I'm sure that the vast majority of you have heard about it. It is after all old news by this time, but nonetheless relevant from now until the end of time.

There is a monument outside the Oklahoma State Capitol building that has been there since 2012. It is a symbol which has been the cornerstone of which the United States of America was built upon. It is a concept in which our very laws are based upon. It is the very essence of everything that is good, noble and moral in this entire world. It is a monument of the Ten Commandments!

The ACLU, in its infinite wisdom, has filed a lawsuit against the state on behalf of satan's ilk who have inserted themselves into all walks of life these days asserting that it violates the separation of Church and State issue. So these Godless satanic cults now want to erect a satanic monument to stand beside the Ten Commandments monument. I will go into my feelings about the satanic culture at some later date. For now, I will focus on the issue at hand.

The way I see it is things have really gotten out of hand with this separation of Church and State issue. Here's the deal people! The United States was founded by God fearing people. When the Constitution was penned and the issue of the separation of Church and State was addressed, they were referring to God's Church! And the Christian religion! That's right people the forefathers who founded this country and stole it from the Native Americans were God fearing Christians!

Now that sounds pretty messed up these Christian people stealing the country from the natives, but I refer you to God's word where he had his chosen people kill entire bands of people and take their lands from them or even when he had another nation attack and enslave his chosen people. I'm not meaning to imply that God ordained this to happen. It was just the greed of the Europeans of the time that forged this country into the great nation it has become.

Back on point; The United States is a Christian country, founded upon Christian principles whose laws are based upon the Ten Commandments! Those of other faiths are more than welcome to live here and practice their own faith so long as it doesn't interfere with our basic principles. But once we start allowing outside faiths and what's much worse... satanists to dictate to us, it leaves every God fearing man, woman and child in this country open and vulnerable to attack from the powers and principalities of evil! And whether or not you want to believe it, these forces are steadily at work. They have been at work since long before man first walked this earth. And they shall be until our Savior delivers us from them! Make no mistake! The worst form of evil is that which is emulating good. That is to say, beware of wolves in sheep's clothing!

Worry not so much about the ignorant people playing at satanism, but worry more about the truly evil ones which you can not discern. This is where you need to turn to the Lord and pray for the power of discernment. For only through this power will you be able to recognize evil in its many forms. It sneaks up on you in the form of friends having a good time. It saturates your mind in the form of entertainment designed to twist your mind into thinking that God is nothing more than a character in a book and that the book is no more than a story told to children to make them behave. OH PEOPLE! Just wait! I have only just begun to open up a HUGE can of worms! This is barely scratching the surface of the journey I plan to take you on. Don't sweat my grammar! And don't try to pick my story apart for other reasons. Just take the point I'm making. I know when I end a sentence with a preposition. I also know I'm not the most intelligent person, and that I'm not the best writer and will tend to get things messed up a bit. And I could care less. I have much, much bigger fish to fry! So focus on the points I'm making whether you agree with me or not. That is why this blog is open to comments and other perspectives. I shall also invite other bloggers whose views parallel mine as well as those who clash with mine to post here from time to time. I take responsibility for my own words and will expect any guest bloggers to do the same.

Thank you for bearing with me, and hang around to see where this leads.

Introduction

I want to start off with a bit of an introduction of myself. I grew up in a typical small town in central Oklahoma in the 60's and 70's. I witnessed the integration and desegregation of society. I somehow survived excessive drug use of my teen years and early adulthood. I have been drug free for a very long time. I haven't been very concerned nor interested in the political nor religious realm for the majority of my life. However, I have always had my belief in God.

As far as I have been concerned in the past, I didn't really care who was in office or what transpired in the political world... until things really started getting out of hand and entering the realm of outrageous and what I consider sacrilegious. So follow along with me as we explore some of the issues concerning our country.

As we travel along on our journey, I would like it very much for anyone to submit what they consider to be issues of grave interest to my readers concerning our government, politics, religion and anything pertaining to these topics.

Thank you for joining me on my trek through the sludgepits of our society. Let us examine the greed, stupidity and the abuse of power that runs rampant throughout our political system and society in general.
